You can be a part of the 1st Annual Hoop It Up Summer Madness 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament benefitting The Barbara Bush Children's Hospital at Maine Medical Center.

We are looking for out-of-state talent to show Maine what basketball is all about. You got that NYC ball flavor? Bring it! How about ballers from Torono or Montreal? You come too! Boston, Chicago, DC, NJ - come on up!Come strut your stuff against Maine talent. We are looking to put Maine on the map!!

We are hoping to have Nik Caner-Medley (formerly Maryland, now playing overseas), high-flying Charles Mason (played in the Rucker League a few years back), Luther Clay (formerly MCI in Maine, then Purdue University), Tyson Wheeler (formerly Rhode Island), Ralph Mims (point guard at FL. State).

When: Saturday, June 7, 2008 (1-day event this year, expanding in future)
Where: Scarborough High School, 11 Municipal Drive, Scarborough, ME 04074

The cost to participate is $60 per team and teams are taken on a first come, first served basis. All teams must consist of 3 - 6 players in the following
categories (78 total teams):

Adult Men (18+) (36 teams)
Adult Women (18+) (6 teams)
High School Boys (14-18) (12 teams)
High School Girls (14-18) (6 teams)
Youth Boys (9-13) (12 teams)
Youth Girls (9-13) (6 teams)

Also: 3-Point shootout, Dunk contest, Trophies for winners, T-shirts for participants, Music, Food/Snacks
