Help! Travelling Rule Question!
Okay, I notice players like Tony Parker, Dwayne Wade, Lebron, etc. will often, after maybe a jab step, crossover, etc hold the all running toward the basket, while splitting between two players or just going to score. My question is, following a dribble, how many steps do you get with the ball?
I understand that you get two steps. But when do you begin counting these steps. I'll give you an example.
While driving, what if I pick up my dribble in the middle of a step (my foot has yet to hit the ground), do I still have my two steps following my foot hitting the ground? (So it would really be like 3 times that a foot of mine would hit the ground before I shoot the ball)
Thanks.
We have debates like this at the playground all the time. I want to prove these guys wrong.
