Default Spin move

hey just a quick question, What is the correct way to spin without holding the ball or travelling.

I cant really explain what i mean lol, i hope you lot understand

Age : 17
Height : 5'11
Without rest -
Standing Vert : 23" (I Think this has improved now)
Running Vert : 29" (Atleast)

Speciality - Handles
Goal - To Improve my vert

There are two ways you can spin without traveling which you can find on youtube, neways ok the first spin say you are driving the lane and a defender is in your way you pick the ball up and spin and this will count as your two steps, normally most people after they makea spin move off defender will jump into the air an either lay up or pass. looks like this:

The other way is to dribble the ball but before you spin you bounce the ball then make you spin move and continue to dribble the ball may look like this:
