can anyone tell me the fundemental pro hop cuz i always get traveled by the refs

hard to explain but ...

u have to jump on the first step (so its not a travel) and when u land u can't step again. Once u get it it's simple

some amateur rules don't allow the pro-hop

this move is crazy good 4 about 10 points at the beginning of a game cuz erryone things the first hop is the shot so they go up and let you in under the net 4 the lay up. after a while they catch on tho n you gotta stop for a few quarters.

u hav to land on 2 feet. if u land on 1 the refs call travle. IDK y but they do.

also, u gotta prohop into ur dribble. if u dribble and hesitate b4 u prohop, thats a easy travel. most importantly tho, just take ur time while ur in the air and make it smooth looking. dont rush it, cuz then u might not land on two feet.

actually, i think u can take half a step after u prohop, ONLY if u land solidly on two feet. at least, this is what my coach told me way back in gr. 8 .

for example, u can do a full spin move, or just take another step and go in for the layup...whenever i did this tho, ppl always tell me its travel...so was my coach wrong or am i just doing it wrong?

You also have to bring the ball above your head. As they said before, land and two feet and do it straight out of the driblle.

ok so i had it toatly wrong i was taking half a step then jumpstoping into a jump
