Suitable moves to use on various types of D
I know dat moves can be accomplished with speed...but itz sumthing i dont have yet coz i cant really practice the moves on anyone without actually playing....but i thought it wud help if i knew wen to actually do the moves...while im putting down dese moves..im learning alot myself juz by doing dat so yeh post up ok
Ok, there are numerous types of Ds out there, there are most likely ones I havn't mentioned..but here are sum ones dat verse me.
-Completely look at the ball and follow it.
-Stare at your feet, look down and does not look above waists.
-Follows you
These 3 types of Ds are usually strict and stick to their technique.
But they will always have one type of habit/technique,
Figuring out what D they play can be solved by "hypnotising" or juz simply handling the roc.. they usually start playing tight.
Various Stances:
- Parallel foot
- One foot infront of the other
The second stand can sumtimes coz them to have there feet in line with the person wif the ball...usually making it much easier to do moves
try to use basic streetball moves done to make things simple den we might expand on it...as in Off Da Heezi, Boomerang, backache, under the legs etc etc..
I know dat most moves work on D but they work BETTER if its the ryt TYPE of D. AND PLEASE TRY TO FOLLOW MY FORMAT.
---------------------------------------------------------------
Ok ill start things off, make sure u all know these moves too =)
Name: Flintstone Shuffle.
D: Completely following you.
Stance: One foot infront,
Tips/reasons: If he has his right foot out (foot closes to u)...Go to his right side) - that example proves to be better becoz if u went left...his body wudnt be able to react as quickly..becoz he wud try to push off his front foot..den he wudnt follow u.
Name: Off Da Heezi
D: Looking down below waist line,
Stance: Dusnt really matter, parallel wud be good tho
tips/reasons: Bounce high, so dat the ball keeps going out of his vision (remembering dat he is staring down) if u bounce it to low he will know where the ball is and avoid getting hit on the head.
Name: Backache
D: Looking below waist line
Stance: one foot infront, so back is more exposed
tips/reasons: Same thing as off da heezi, except one foot infront.
Becoz the D is looking down, generally speaking he will arc his back towards U to make it easier.
Name: The Flick
D: Following the ball
Stance: dusnt really matter
tips\reasons: simple..it wont work effectively if he aint focusing on the ball 100%
