It's not that hard. You can start by putting your hand on the ball and roll it a little bit forward but with your hand still on the ball. Then close fingers in a snap like motion and the ball should come up if you do it fast enough

Strike the ball with your palm a little bit past the top of it and curl your arm forward while lifting it so that it is brought up smoothly
