just like you said, do some head fakes, if they dont work, then practice. A tip that is sweet if you can practice and get good at it without double dribbling is this. Watch yourself in a mirror or something, or maybe just do this by yourself, but see the motions that you would do to just drive the right lane. Which foot do you step with? Which way does your body turn? etc. When you get that, do every motion the same, except right before the ball bounces to the ground on the actual drive-dribble, switch your hand position a littel bit and push it over to the oposite side.

this works especially if your driving the whole game, then just switch it up this time.

What helps if your bigish/bigger than some other guys who are playin, while you drive make a circle over your head with the ball, cuz if you bring it down low you wont get it back up. Also, always keep the ball in motion, they'll either foul you or miss your arm and the ball completely.

P.S. at my school I am one of the best drivers around

when you crossover, remember to use your head and eyes to trick them too...

- Also executing a perfect crossover is making the D reach for the ball, but to do so you have to make sure your a fair distance from him too,

- first do a simple switch with the ball from your left to your right hand

- step to your right, using your right foot with the ball still in your right hand

- and bring the ball down low around your right foot and let it bounce to your left, at this point if you have fool your D he would have reached out with his left hand. at this point you have to be ready to to move to the left around him making sure you are diagonal to him with your shoulder in the way covering the ball.

but with the last step your left foot on your toes ready to pounce to the left side. Remember to always be looking either at his shoes or the direction u want to fake him with

sorry im in a rush, that wasn't the best explaination, but that is one of the basic crossovers I use..that always works
