We both have relatively strong glutes and lower backs so those just want to take over if you let them. We both need to focus on anchoring the legs, get the bar close and push through the heels. Once you get into the groove, the motions become more automatic and you can dip and rip loads of weight off the ground. However, once you lay off the DL you need to re-learn the technique again to some extent.

Re: My VJB Workout #2
yeah im hoping for 43-44 inch of my right leg, it may even be a bit more then that with a bit of luck haha, for me to hit my elbow on rim is a 48 inch jump, im aiming to hit halfway down the forearm. Yeh u should be dunking easy. Make sure your doing a weight program as well though . and i urge you that if you have a day like me when u just keep dunking, remember everything you did, stay happy, coz i forgot that feeling and i think thats why this mental barrier arose. ;/
Im probably gonna start AC's (squatdrs) program after this, either that or advanced vjb, and ill go for like a 48 inch running vert and a 40 inch standing. once i get those 2 accomplishments im gonna stop doing vert training, only do maintenance sessions and put all my focus on skills for basketball.

Re: My VJB Workout #2
dunno, my PR's are 40 inch right leg, 34 inch left leg, 35-36 inch 2 legs standing 32, on average there all about 2-3 inches lower then that, those were all just my freak jumps.

sweet, i dont have access to weights until im 16, i only have dumbells so ill try and work them into the bodyweight program. 48 inches is a lot u should keep doing maintenance sessions for a while and then get in to some super advanced vert training and get in to the 50's that would be sweet. imagine what u would be doing then
