Default My Athletics 2007 (high jump,100m etc)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ivFecenpxjc

heres my school zone athletics from last year, not bad considering i only do athletics as a year round thing and ive never trained for it, i definately think im gonna be alot better at 100m and high jump this year, coz my verts up an extra 10 inches, im faster, stronger and ive been working on technique for running, especially the start where i used to be slow, i think im a top speed runner, Btw this was also my first time using blocks, didnt do to bad i think.

Nice one. Yeah, you start can definitely improve and should help you in the first 50m. Am surprised that the other dude had under 10.5 electronically timed. I mean he did smash the others in his race but it didn't seem that fast. Maybe it is the angle of the shot.

hehe, i think the time was unofficial, he ran that race so fast though, hes stride length is amazing, you struggle to see how fast he really is going coz its effortless for him, the angle makes everything look slower i think

Well, not effortless but he is very relaxed in his running. Yeah, definitely the angle skews things a bit. Hey, keep your head down at the start, push hard against those blocks! Really pump those arms from the get-go to encourage strong hip extension early on. From the clip it is clear that you are popping up too early. Once you get into your stride though, your hip extension looks pretty good I think. You do look a little tense later on though: maybe you are trying to get more power into your stride. Man, you definitely have flair! I may have given you a run for your money at your age Our times would have been very similar, but I think you can go further.
