StreetBallTalk.com - **everyone that cares about ball/sbt, plz read**

k sbt is becomin inactive for a few reasons; theres wayyyyy too much spam and most people want a basketball or a real streetball forum, say wat u want about the and1 mixtape games, but real streetball is played in the playgrounds, wit tough d and hustle and all.. so heres wat i suggested, and (if yall want to) ant goin to help me wit it, i say we remake sbt under our own rules and have it owned by us, now i kno sum of u like the and1 streetball, which im all fine wit cuz thats fun too, but i was thinkin that the new sbt would focus more on the brand of streetball thats played on ur playgrounds and not the and1 type, i mean we'd defenitely have a "flashy" streetball board or watever u wanna call it, but my main point is lets make a forum by ballers for ballers, ya dig? cuz ever since craveonline owned this site, its jus been goin downhill.... so lets remake it, and since its gonna b run by us, we ALL got a say in how the forum works, and u best believe that ill try my best to make it work. aight so wats everyones opinion? if ur down wit it then keep readin...

k so to follo wit wat the site is about i was thinkin of a few names;

R3 ball/streetball (as in real recognise real)

Playground ballin/ballers/streetballin/streetballers

those are my 2 suggestions, if u like on of em then say so or u can come up wit ur own, also after we choose a name we goin need to come up wit a site adress, that should b pretty easy, but lets decide on a name first... and finally we goin have to decide on the forum software, idk much about that but im sure ant can explain or give us the pros/cons of the different types of forums/forum softwares.

but yea, thats wat i was thinkin of, eventually if it works out we can connect it EAT....

Sorry to say, but 90% of the people on here couldn't give a rat's ass about streetball. Even if we were to make a new forum, everyone would still go here because it comes up in all the search engines.

Not saying I don't like the intent, just saying everyone who cares about streetball left here awhile ago. Crave Online really killed this place.

the search engine thing is a problem. we really need to try and fix the site we have atm. but thats gonna be hard without admins help, and we ened new mods. i remember 6 months ago when this site was more active than ever, what happened? i guess everyone just started only posting in the training section. we need to bring the BASKETBALL back, its a basketball site, not a training one. but the only way it could get better is if EVERYONE started making a huge effort. it probs wont happen, coz o get everyone involved we would have to contact all the old members shich is pre much impossible. and the few mods left would have to delete all the spam constantly.
the new site sounds good but there is a few flaws. well i think its pretty much a lost cause but its worth a try, i used to love this site but now its pretty much dead. well id love it to get better again but i cant see it happening.

The streetballtalk admins are back. If anyone is still interested in bringing this site back we can still do it.

well im interseted in making it good again. u shuld make a thread telling everyone that they are back. how did u get them to come back?

a.j.ing the main owner streetballtalk is back. And he is trying to help bring the site back to normal. Im not sure if it will be possible anymore but we can try.

This site has changed so much. One of the big changes I see going on is no one gives a shit what Dipset says anymore.

Anyways. I don't think we can do much. We don't have any control of the site whatsoever and the people who do don't come on. There's alot of bugs on the forum now. Quick reply is pretty much fucked up for me. Somehow alot of people's signatures got changed.

The main thing is how much spam we used to get. I'm not sure how much now cause I haven't been on for awhile but I had to delete more than 10 threads a day by myself before. And I saw the admins didn't give a damn what was happening, so I left. A few months later, nothing has changed except the member count. I don't see any immediate solution to the problems we have.

If you ARE going to make a new site you better have a dot com. If you don't have a dot com don't expect any people joining up to your site. You have to have a forum. You have to make it known. It's gonna be hard.
