Default School or basketball

the situation i am in:
I want to be a top student but have a lot of work everyday. I also have to study for SAT and more.
But, I want to play for my high school varsity team, I think i can make the team, but if I do, it is a commitment that will hurt my academics.
What should i do?
Should I just play ball? I might have to scarifice sleep and more.

you ask this before, and i still give you the same answer: unless you are 100% sure you can play pro ball even just ncaa, you should put your school work for your first priority

Smartest thing is to take school. But I would take basketball because I love the game that much. I'm already moving to USA in a year or so to have better possibilities and chances into getting into NBA.

You have to go with school. You'll make your life through school, not basketball. If you're a junior or senior (it looks like you are, since you're taking the SATs), you gotta focus on school right now. Lack of sleep is torture. I'm going through a similar situation right now, having 3 APs, but since I'm a sophomore, I don't have to study for any real standardized test (besides the PSAT, but I took that last Saturday). From the late nights I stay just to finish my homework (on top of b-ball tryouts right now), lack of sleep will make you feel terrible. It's harder to think when you have classes like calculus and physics, and you never want to start to do any work until it's 11 o'clock at night! Anyway, that's my situation. I don't know about you, but if you have a tough time as it is, just stick to school. If you honestly think you can ball without it affecting your academics, go for it.

Do both. It's not impossible. Just have to practice the right way. Work on your fundamentals.

Practice the right way, you'll get the most gains. You don't have to practice alot to gain alot.
