Re: help with psat
UPDATE:
took the psat a week ago.
my evaluation:
MATH:for me it was very very very easy, except for a few problems. Mostly things like geometry and some algebra.
READING: some was difficult, need a pretty good vocabulary on the first part of the reading section. The questions on the story are mostly questions about specific parts and 1 question on the whole story so don't dwell on getting every single part of the story.
WRITING/SENTENCE(type thing): In the real SAT it will be writing in psat it's a sentence with some type of error and you gotta find it, and show where it is. pretty straight forward, not to hard. Only problem is that it's not guaranteed to be incorrect so there may be some doubt.
OVERALL: not too hard. A real tip is to make sure you know where the test is going to be (like what class) because we had it in an AC room and it got pretty cold. Be prepared.
tips on the test is to just have some type of vocabulary lesson before taking the psat/sat. And don't study the day before because it's honestly a big waste of time, when you can really be sleeping. The questions go from easy to difficult so when time managing don't evenly distribute the time because then you won't have enough time on the harder problems.
*hope this helps and I'll get results in December so I'll put it up if it's not too bad
