I dont think Luke is 100% correct on the issue of milk. i mean people with calcium defficiency drink milk to get calcium. But luke says taht milk prevents calcium intake.
this is a messed up issue and there are facts to support both sides.
But you could get calcium and ohter vitamins just from drinking orange juice and take vitamin supplements. During the school year i would drink about 3 cups of milk and 1 cup of juice a day.

Re: should we drink milk?
I don't think it's a matter of "Does milk have calcium", because it does.
It is whether we are able to digest it and get the benefits.

Re: should we drink milk?
here are some pros and cons that i found:
PROS:
Calcium, which is important for healthy bones, is abundant in milk and dairy products. Although it's possible to get ample calcium without milk, it does take some careful planning. Additionally, the calcium in milk is well absorbed by the digestive tract because the vitamin D and lactose found in milk facilitate calcium absorption.
Skim milk and products made from skim milk are very low in fat and cholesterol, and contain a complete source of protein.
Milk is also a good source of phosphorous, magnesium, vitamin A, vitamin D, and riboflavin (a B vitamin).
CONS:
Whole milk, or anything made of whole milk, is high in saturated fat, which can increase cholesterol level.
Milk is a common cause of food allergy (allergy to milk protein).
Many people, especially adults, lack the enzyme to digest lactose (milk sugar). This is called lactose intolerance, which causes bloating, gas, and diarrhea.
Milk (and meat for that matter) may contain the antibiotics given to the animal before slaughter. It has been argued that when humans then eat the dairy or meat products, they absorb the antibiotics, potentially allowing for bacteria harmful to humans to become more resistant to these antibiotics. The consequence is that when antibiotics are prescribed, they may not be as effective at killing the bacteria as they once were.

i was refering to the one about enzyme one and hwo some ppl dont benefit from milk.
When you said taht milk has too much saturated fat, does it mean we should be drinking that much millk? will milk like increase our bodyfat? cuz my goal is to keep my bodyfat percentage at 6.7% and hopefully get it to 5

Re: should we drink milk?
1 cup (240ml) of vitamin d milk has a 25% daily values of saturated fat, dam that's a lot because u can get fat from other food too. i think it would certainly increase ur bodyfat, saturated fat, which is solid in room temperature, increases the level of cholesteral. it's almost the worst kind of fat (the only fat that worse than saturated is trans fat created by he partial hydrogenation of oils).
