To those who know computers..

If you've ever been to the site www.rapidshared.org, then I would appreciate some help. I tried registering there once, but I could never get into the site. Whenever I logged in, it seemed to forget that I logged in anytime I clicked on something. My cookies are enabled and I clicked Remember Me, so I'm not sure why that happened. I came back to that site today, and I forgot my password. I had them email it back to me, and it said that it emailed it to me. I checked my email, and there was nothing there. I re-registered, and waited for it to email me my password. Still nothing.
Is it just my computer, or is this site really flaky? Some help would be appreciated.

chances are that the forums are going through some maintaince or upgrade. try it again in a few days or later. THe reason you didnt get email was can be because of your virus scanner or if you have a spam killer, something happened there. i would temp turn down the spam killer and see.

The most common reason for not receiving an email is cuz of server overload. that when a site with a small braodband was suddenly overloaded with too much request and some sign ups dont get procesed. it may say its been registered but it doesnt mean it, its an automatic option everytime you submit valid info

anther reason is if you are using internet explorer, the connections and cookies at times are unstable and i would try using firefox, which solves some cookie related problems. you can also try using a different comp or switch IP and see if same prob occurs...

Yeah, I'm using Firefox (version 2!), so I think that's ok. I'll try again for the email thing later. If you use the site, does it work for you? Did you have to change anything to get it to work?

i cheked out the site but whats the point in making an account? you can view the downloads without making 1, does making an account give you sepcial access or something?

To be honest, I'm not sure. I wasn't getting results without one, so I figured that I should register.

Yeah, me too. But when I tried searching for stuff, I didn't get any good results. It was weird. Maybe the site just doesn't have much anyway, I don't know.

it doesnt have much...i looked around and didnt find aynthing of value or worth downloading. the music sec was okay had some decent albums but everything else sucked.

i dont liek rapidshare much cuz it limits download and i have to switch my IP everytime
