I don't think it would be a good idea... Probably it'll only be used for spam.

K what difference would it make if its for spam? at least it gives us a place to spam...

I like the idea of a chat box cuz many forums i go to have them and there is very little to no spam in it. People are smart enough to know when they've gone to far with spamming.

I think it is a realy good idea. A chat box would be a way of communicating with friends off the forum easier. It would be an easier way to contact someone rather than msn. The only downside is that a chat box, *if it became quite active*; might draw people away from the actual forums and they might mainly use the chat to talk about streetball. Anyone agree?

no cuz you'll be taking away from the actually forum cuz then ppl will chat in the chat box to answer questions instead of posting on a thread to get the answers were people still can see it for long time to come. In a chat box u wont even be able to see it later that day. If everyone gets to chat with eachother its a cool idea, but just get there AIM sn's and start a chat room...

ok, but what if no one is online, then you would have to post. And, you should only be able to do it for like 1nce a day for like 30 min. or something... i dunno

spam is when someone over uses something. like if i posted 1 topic then replied to it 4 times w/out anyone replying...

u kno...im startin to not like this chat idea; becuz wen u ask a question on a forum, everyone profits from the answer or the info...but in a chatbox, almost no one will.......

dont doubt yourself. its a good idea. gives people some quick answers if they dont wana wait in forums. i still strongly agree with the idea! :-)
