Default video games and basketball

i actually started to play bball because of a video game (NBA Inside Drive 2002 for Xbox, vince carter on the cover ). Once I played it, i got addiceted ot the game and the sport as well. Now bball is my life.

Same with streetball, I didnt even kno what it was until I picked up NBA Street Vol.2, and then next thing u kno im practicing slip n slides and i literally became a street legend at my school. I kno it sounds kinda cheesy, but bball video games fully inspired me to play the sport. Anybody have a similar history?

yah i started playin when i was in public school and all my friends used to play and stuff and i hardley knew how to play and shit could hardly make a jumpy let alone hit the rim! lol my first basket was actually on my own eam and my friends start to trash me and shit. so one day in the summer i i had nothing better to do and all i had was a ball in my garage...... i had a net in my driveway so i just played to keep me occupied. after alittle awhile i got the basics down and how to shoot and stuff. i tought myself and my own self-fundementals. when it came to the next year my friends were playin pick-up and were like "this boy can't play" but when i got the ball i instincted reactivly and cross my D and made the shot. Been into this game and learning my way and hopefully my goal one day is to my under-rated game in local areas to the tuned up game i have now. been learning and gunnin for almost 3 years now.

( and i love NBA Street V3 kicks ass!!!!!!)

well i dont think it influenced me but it motivated me to go on with basketball, which is rap....i was walkin with some of my friends to a park with basketball courts and i was thinking what kinda moves i could try n invent, then the next song came up which happened to be Thugs Mansion by Tupac and i instantly clicked and while i was playing ball i invented like 5 tricks (some of them were probably done though)
