Unhappy Need help with VJB, really confused

Hey guys, im about to start VJB and im 13 years old, im 5"4", 130 pounds, havent done much weight or plyometric training in the past and i cant squat 1.5X my bodyweight. Should i do beginner plyometric and Bodyweight exercises, or no plyometrics at all? Please help me out people im super confused

Also if you need to know

Standing vert- 13 Inches (I know its that bad)
Running vert- 16 Inches (Terrible)

Guys, pls i need serious help, i need to get to at least 20 inches. My Standing and running vert are super bad and pls keep in mind i am active and play tons of basketball but i have not done any serious form of working out like weight lifting and plyometrics. Also cannot squat 1.5X my bodyweight so is it still ok if i do beginner plyometrics or is it going to seriously injure me?

Keep playing basketball and just focus on building up your strength levels when in the gym/at home. You get enough low intensity plyos from most novice programs.

You can add plyos if you want, but I don't think you will gain much benefit. Much better in my opinion to use that same amount of time either recovering from a previous workout, eating or getting stronger. People should realise that there is only so much that they can do in a fixed amount of time. Keep it simple. Get strong. Carry on balling. Your vert will increase.

Well its really a tough call. I found one site that has a supplement that may help. I heard this Growth-Flex V Pro product can help. I spoke to someone who took it and they said it took a bit of time but it helped them to gain height over time effectively as well as increase their jumping ability. Former NBA baller Grant Long endorses it
