Default JD22's Making 50,000 shots

Gil did 100,000 Official Next is doing 80,000 and I am starting today. I hope to make 50,000 shots or more if I am ahead of schedule. I plan to do this after I come home from basketball camp. With that said, I am actually making way more than 50,000 shots but the shots I am recording are only going to be done at home. I am getting ready to go outside and start.

Special Thanks to Gilbert Arenas and Official Next for the inspiration

PS: I will update you on my status and how I am doing.

PS2: Gilbert is my favorite player

7/8: Well I only took 500 shots today because my feet are KILLING me. I don't know if I am going to be able to complete my goal but i am going to damn sure try. If I can't I'll just aim for 40,000 which is only about 935 shots a day which is a lot more reasonable considering I only have 6 hours to shoot when i get home.

I still would like to reach 50,000 made shot but if my feet are always going to hurt this bad then I will just shoot 500 a day and just try to improve my shot and not out do myself considering I am only 13.

You'll probably lose interest, but 500 shots a day is still a lot of a 13 year old.

Gilbert is my favorite player too. He's underrated.

Only six hours to shoot?!?!?...six hours is plenty of time...not to be mean, but taking 500 shots a day is pretty easy, especially if someone is rebounding...making 500 should be your goal....i wouldn't try to mimic gilbert when your only 13.

Unhappy Re: JD22's Making 50,000 shots

Gilbert also had 3 rebounders and a person to keep track of his shots.

I have to say I won't be completing my goal of making 50,000 shots before school starts but I will try and shoot 500 a day until then and see where that gets me I think it's around 20,000 but I realized shooting for hours upon hours in the hot Florida sun isn't the most fun thing to do.

Thanks for all your support!

PS: I hope to try something like this again but maybe over a long period of time. Like 365,000 shots in a year.

Well I knew about the shots last summer because I read his blog but, the person keeping track keeps track of makes/misses, where he made/missed them, etc. It lets him just focus on shooting and nothing else.

Lol, his name isn't "Official Next", it's Next Best Legend, and the thread name is "Official Next's Making 80,000 shots" as in:

The Official Thread of Next is Making 80,000 shots.

I was just clearing that up for you. Also, watch out for tennis elbow, otherwise known as elbow tendinitis.
