Why would it?

From what it seems, it seems like u may be saying me doing vjb plyos or vjb bodyweight or both can risk my ankle being injured greater.

Btw the only vjb I'm gonna do is bodyweight phase 1 . There're no jumping involved in phase 1. Unless u're talking the post phase 1 exercises which I dun remember whether there're any jumps involved. Btw I'm planning to do less intense basketball in the same time anyway which involves jumping. I try to avoid being injured in this by avoiding collision with other player's foot and stepping onto the eroded fist size hole just below the hoop(I'm afraid my court is under maintained so there is a hole).

I appreciate and thank you for ur allowance and care of my injury if u intended it.

But what do u mean doing VJB would risk injuring me greater, how?

Now is 3 May 2008

Beginner plyos & bodyweight

Phase I Week 3 Day 2/2

Last day for week 3. Legs a little sore. Legs stronger feeling. I could do 300/3 squats easier. When walking down a flight of stairs it felt like the gravity increased by 8 x. Took more than 1 hrs to complete.

Ouch! Painful legs.

Week 1 Phase 2 Day 1/2

This time the exercise was faster done. My legs were almost having cramps b4 I started it and I still went for it. Yeah and throughout the exercise my legs were almost cramping. This exercise is easier.

The previous session was painful. It lasted to this session. Now just walking is difficult.

Feels longer

Week 2 Phase 2 Day 1/2

This session felt longer and took 1h 50mins. Right after workout in my bathroom on the tub I glanced my calves and it looked more buffed and bigger. Every exercise was having an increment in sets except the burnout complex.

I felt(just felt not actually proven true virtually) the scissor hip extension had the longest time to finish. Most painful was the ski squat. Even so the ski squat didn't hurt much. Thus it hurt less than the 100x3 squat sessions prior to this session, Phase 1 Week 2 session.

Was sweating profusely just after the first few exercises and then throughout the exercises.

I felt easier to jump higher in the alternating step up jumps on this session already.

Bigger left calf

Phase 2 Week 2 Day 2/2

This session's exercise is the same as the previous session's. I did the same stuffs. Momentarily pain in both quads during burnout complex. This session was done faster than the previous session so is faster than the previous session.

After exercise I was looking at my left calf and my right. Noticed my left was bigger than previous session and also was bigger than right. The pic was taken right after I showered right after the exercise with some cool down.

As recent as yesterday I felt easier in jumping vertically.

Today's exercise felt easier to complete. I did today's vjb in the morning. Breezed through the ski squat. Went through it no problem, easy. That's the end of week 2 today. Today's exercise feels pain only when doing it and a little lingering pain after finishing vjb but disappears after less than 1 hour. It's fast to disappear. Feels like a mosquito bite, fast disappearing. I can do more. That was fast!

Bodyweight exercise, the one I did above is good cuz only need a chair and a wall to do. Don't need many equipments. It can be done anywhere. A convenient exercise. It is giving allowance for those that dun wanna go to gym to lift weights.

Gained 6 Inches

Phase 2 Week 3 Day 2/2

I just tested my VJ right b4 I post this. Is about 3 basketball heights. Means my VJ increased by about 6". Making my total VJ about 22" now. I was amazed myself that I could jump this high when I did the above testing.

This workout session feels fine and not hard.
