Uh yeah. You aren't going to see significant gains after a week. Maybe a 1/4 inch.

You usually see results after 3 weeks, but the real result is about a week after you finish the entire program. Too bad you aren't going to see any decent results since you're not ready for advanced plyos.
I don't see why you don't do novice plyos. Like I said before, advanced does not equal more results. It's made for advanced people, who already have an advanced plyo based. You do not since you haven't completed any programs. You would get much better results doing novice plyos. It's not just the injury factor.
Does advanced even have depth jumps ( the best plyo exercise imo, maybe not for the really advanced who will benefit the most from altitude drops, hence why they are in advanced plyos)?

Re: VeRt'S Advanced Plyos
well first the bowflex and legpress is not an accurate form of testing your squatting or deadlifting max as it takes away almost all use of stabilizing muscle groups.
we actually have about maybe 200 threads on us discussing the best vertical jump program.
also if you have no clue at all on how to make your own program please stick with one already made such as tvp, vjb,Athletic advantage and a few others.
any specific questions please ask.

Re: VeRt'S Advanced Plyos
ok JC i would liek to appolgize for my ignorance and i will do novice plyos and work my self way up. Also if someone wanted to do TVP, should they have atleast 6 months worth of training about?
i will start novice plyos tommrow
i will also be doing bodyweight exercises as well. My doctor told me i should wait untill highschool,6 months from now...thats why i also asked about tvp...back to the thing my doc told me. He said that i am in the process of growing and devoloping alot right now for myself so i shouldn't do any weight lifting for now. But ANY bodyweight exercises are fine for now. So for now this is my routine.
Monday:
am: Novice Plyos
pm: Bodyweight
Tuesday off
Wendsday
same as monday
Thursday off
Friday
am:Novice plyos
sory for changing my programs alot i just want results..

Re: VeRt'S Advanced Plyos
Although I disagree with your doctor about weight lifting at a young age, bodyweight is good enough for beginners.
Anyway, with TVP, I would wait until you can squat about 1.5x your bodyweight to do that, because it doesn't really help with your relative strength, it just increases power output. You're better off continuing to progress through VJB for now.
Since you are doing strength training (bodyweight still counts), you are only supposed to do plyos twice a week. Try monday and thursday since it will allow the best time for full recovery.

Re: VeRt'S Advanced Plyos
ok how about bodyweight once week and plyos 3. Cuz according to VJB testing it says i need to do reactive training for best gains. I lack alot of reactive strength..

Plyos work best when you do them with a strength training program. IMO doing plyos twice a week would get the same results as 3 times a week because of recovery. Basically everyone will benefit from more strength, which is why the 2bw and 2 plyos works.
Also, you planned on doing advanced plyos with low reactive strength, .
