Default Uptuse, VJB Novice plyo + weights

Hey, excited about started VJB.

*Your Age: 20
*Your Height: 5'7
Reach: 86"
*Your Current Vertical Jump: 29 sadly lost 3-4 inches in the past couple weeks.
*Your Goal Vertical Jump : 127-86= 41, so total of 12 inches.

Worked out today, did the beginner plyos and novice weights.

(to anyone, should i lower the sets like he said we should for plyos?)

will be posting what weights i used and such tomorrow.

I don't know exactly what VJB has you doing. Generally pure beginners should do low set, high rep, low intensity 'plyos'. This is mainly to train muscle coordination, develop lower leg stiffness etc etc. You basically progress eventually to high intensity plyometric exercises like depth jumps after building the necessary strength (esp. eccentric). For the latter, you should do high set, low reps: you want quality over the quantity.

You don't lower the sets you just only add in plyos in the last 2 phases. I tried vjb once before I got ath advantage becuase I wanted to start a program while I was waiting for it. I pulled a hammy by doing plyos and weights together so yuo should just add them in in the last 2 phases.

Having trouble uploading the .PDF that i made to track my progress. Anyone know if the upload feature is broken?

Anyways, tomorrow is my next workout day for weights and plyos. To be honest, i dont know if im going to do it; i may postpone it until saturday. My calves are shot, and my left hamstring is strained. Better safe than sorry.
