Default recommendation

Hey guys I am 23 years and i have stopped play ball for 4-5 years and my vert was standing 25-26 and weight about 190 and now iam 230 and my vert is 15 inches. I have the tVp AND vjb SO i was wondering i WAS WONDERING WHICH program is better for me and i have access to weights and a pool. The reason for my question is that i heard TVP is not meant for beginners but say i do THe TVP is it worth the time or should i just do VJB because my legs are weak.

I'd say do some HIIT to lose weight, while doing VJB Novice weights and beginner plyos.

You HAVE to get down to 10% body fat before doing any vert training. Do some beginer VJB while doing heavy cardio and going on a serious diet. Once You get down to 200 you can try going to a different VJB but I'd say finish whatever it is your on. Def start with all weights until you get your squat up to 300 (and make sure its a full squat not a 1/2 or 1/4). Don't even think about TVP until you're at 9-12% bodyfat and can squat 300 minimum and have a vert of 28+. You might be able to do it only because your UPNs would be low and your 1rm would let you get away with doing it on really low weights but you'd get nothing out of it that you would get from doing something your level (which you'd get much more from).

s'all good, keep a journal if you do decide to do a program, even if it's only to track the effect of the cardio at first. I find recomitting to something is very important, especially when you put it in writing to other people.

good luck too, can't wait to hear about all the sucess

Parallel squats are sufficient. Don't go for ATG is you are not flexible enough (film yourself doing them if you are not sure and watch out for e.g. a rounded back in the bottom position). You have deadlifts and good mornings among other things to work your posterior chain.

But yeah, try to lose some excess weight. Your vert and health will both benefit.

ass to ground or ass to grass. In reality, this is having your ass touch your calves.
