Re: hams, glutes, lowerback
yes they prob r the most important but u still need to consider the quads
deadlifts r very good for this
and glute ham raise i think
those 2 r good
and then again there r good old fashioned squats
to target the muscles u mention i suggest u push through your heels when u squat and dont allow your knees to go too much far over your toes,go down from your hips/butt first.this will also help wif knee problems.

Re: hams, glutes, lowerback
ya, their important - try to do some exersizes to improve that, and make sure to stretch abit, makes em more flexable and you get less injuries

Re: hams, glutes, lowerback
For 1 legged jumpers they are the most importanst by far ( well mainly the hams), but for 2 legged they are still very important.
IMO, you should work on the posterior chain ( hams, glutes, lowerback) more than your quads, but you HAVE to do both or don't bother weight training.

lol, thanks for the compliment, but I honestly don't think I know that much, I just see info on the internet and remember it.
If it's not in the internet, I really don't know anything about it.

Re: hams, glutes, lowerback
If you do squats right they target the hams and the glute very well. If you are more sore in the quads then the hams and glute after squats you're probably not doing them with very good form. (Obviously there are exceptions like if some has good hamstring strength already)
