Angry Re: Ryano3's Gmv+gvt Journal

omg today sucked balls

i started training like 3 hours late and i took the mistake of doing a late training session before bed.which i noe not to do and i will never do again

i prob woulda been betta off not training at all!

neways as usual i unhappily went through wif da dumbell rows and i didnt feel shit in ma back

it pissess me off coz everyone says its the best for the upper/middle back but i dont feel it.Ive checked ma technique wif a qualified personal trainer and ma freind who has been liftin for 5+years n they say its fine.
with less weights i can get more freedom of movement and it allows me to hit the upper/middle back more.however i need more of a workload, which means less movement to refine the target area and the stress is more on ma arms/delts.

tho the benchcing went well and i lifted more this week

n i added the iso for my traps i felt tat burn get em good

not to mention i had to freakin share the weights wif ma partner and tat kinda fucked up ma rest times n i had to wait longer 4 him to finish his sets
and then ther is always the fact i have 2 screw on n off the damn plates and spinlocks which is annoyin as hell

on top of that, mozzies damn got in ma face like every 3 seconds while i woz lifting which woz really frustrating

overall, the shittest training session so far

useless

plyos tomrow and gym on saturday

im makin sure they go gud

I very much doubt you are doing the DB rows with strict form on the heavy weights. To hit the mid/upper back you could try barbell rows and pull-ups: they are excellent exercises. Your back will also get worked on during the deadlift too.

i noe pull-ups to the back really help but i dont have access to the chin up station or hangin bar.

tho i could do them with my chinups on ma gym day and id have to switch my upperbody training routine around so it would look like this:
wednesday:bench press/shoulder press done in supersets until completion of 10sets each excersice.
saturday:chin-ups/pullups to the back done in supersets until completion of 10sets each excersice.

im looking more to target the upper/middle back section, rather than the lower back with deadlifts.i mean the whole region tat consists of the rear delt and lats.

I can get full rom with heavy weights but i feel it stressing my arms more than the back and i dought im working it as much as it should.
u do them with a fast tempo right?or slowly, coz after experimenting faster seemed 2 hit the upper back more.

thnx 4 the advice

IDK, but don't you think it would be better doing like bench press then pullups on wednesday and then shoulder press/chin ups or rows on saturday instead of just targeting each section once a week?

I'm not too familiar with GVT though.

well, the thing is i can only get gym access on the weekends, all the gyms in WA hav a minimum enterance age of 16
and membership is offered to 16+ y.o
i can only get into the gym wif ma dad when he goes on the weekends coz im goin in wif an adult 'so im supervised' .and hes working 10+hours the other days of the week so he has no time.

i am doing 2 training sessions a week 4 my upper body this includes a custom ab training program tho its nothing special.

and at home the only equipment i hav is a flat bench and dumbells+a barbell wif with weight plates tat go up to about ~50KG in total

i could change the chinups to barbell curl and do
barbell curl+shoulder press at home
pullups to back+bench press at the gym

i need something which gets the antagonist muscle to the chest, which is the upper back.

Won't the pullups hit the upperback? Yea you are only doing it once a week but that might be enough. That setup might be better, but you said the rows weren't feeling right? Or was that someone else?

But ur gym sounds pretty stupid. In my gym I see like 12 year olds alone.

yes they will,i didnt say they wouldnt, unless u meant 2 say the chinups get the back?

an dyes i said i woznt feeling the rows

and by doing it once a week u mean each bodypart right?coz the targeted muscle is sore 4 like at least 3 days after each training session due to the high frequency (10sets)

n yer all the gyms in wa r like tat

the only one tat isnt is pcyc a boxing academy and u hav to go to do boxing training only wif a trainer wif some wieghts.

You said you need something for the back, that's why I said that about the pullups. If you are only benching once a week it should be fine. Yea I meant each body part once a week.
