Default Malone32's VJB

AGE: 17 7/12
HEIGHT: 71.5 INCHES
CURRENT VERT: 29 INCHES (STANDING)
GOAL VERT: 36 INCHES (16 WEEKS)
The Vertical Jump Bible

I have a 29 inch standing vert, and I'm doing the strength heavy intermediate training program. My 1 rep max on squats is about 285 starting out. I just completely a 5 week plyometrics heavy program that my school did, so I opted for something more strength heavy. I've finished my first week, and I only plan on remeasuring every 4 weeks (thats the only point where I can take the time off to get out of the fatigued state). I supplement softly, creatine on/off every month, protein, and the GNC multivitamins.
I'm also in the full swing of my varsity season, so I'm doing all of this on top of the 6 day a week practices I have. That could either help or hinder, we'll see.
I'm looking to try TVP eventually, probably if I get to a 35 inch vertical with this program after 16 weeks I'll do the advanced program, if I don't get past 32 or 33 I'll invest in TVP. I can't seem to get an honest review that doesn't seem to be paid off or fake. If anyone knows anything about it let me know, the only reason I'm so skeptical is because of ALL the damn gimicks he uses.

Weight is 160, and I can't check my body fat until christmas (long story) though I doubt it'd be anywhere near 10% (I'm not fat)

that'd be reallly sweet, i should be able to get to 100 easily by the time my current 16 week program is done (80 posts in just under 15 weeks isn't exactly that tough).
Does anyone know if doing this during the varsity season is going to significantly (if at all) cut into/help my gains? he just has us scrimage and run (a lot of running). it's 5-6 practices a week though so my legs don't really get to rest too often. i'm doing the full program in the bible, but I have to do the workouts the same days as we have practice.

doing plyos in season will lead to overtraining and injury just do weight training once or twice a week.

A friend of mine gave me TVP, so after reading through it (i think I got everything, but it was a light read through) I still wasn't sure of what to do for the Altitude Jump section. Do you really stop all workouts except for Water Plyos and Depth Jumps each once a week?

So now I'm at 30 inches, after only a week and a half. I can now get the middle of my hand on the rim (when I can up with one arm running). I can also hang on it with two, but only barely. Still going strong, even though we had our season opener today (4-4 8 points 5 boards and a block, no turnovers!).

Well we're on the middle workout of week 3 now, and I can finally (as of yesterday) hang on the rim with one hand, and much more easily grab it with two (though it's still not trivial). I'm not sure of the exact number of my standing vert though. We'll see when I measure a week from today.

Whats that do? I'm going pretty heavy on the weights with VJB, and I have 12 more weeks of this. Then I was gonna hit up TVP, keep doing a good bit of weights, but also hit up the plyos pretty hard (he has all those weeks of water, and then the 8 weeks of pure plyos at the end).
I dunno what else there is that I could do which'd be able to help me, I'll look into jump science though, thanks for the advise.
