Re: Aeon's Journey to the Rim- VJB Journal
Maybe you're a two legged jumper. Try with a run start and then jump off two legs. You'll probably go higher than your standing vert.

Re: Aeon's Journey to the Rim- VJB Journal
i think 12 inches is possible but very difficult. i think u should hope to get around 8 inches but aim for 12. thats what im doing. always aim higher than ur goal. well good luck! and by the way what stretches are u doing?

I think ryano3's refering to stretching regularly everyday. Sometimes I do that. Haha I realised we are pretty similar in our height and vertical and body fat percentage. And we're on VJB!
Cheers to our 12 inches to come!

Re: Aeon's Journey to the Rim- VJB Journal
Week1 Day1
Did plyo at 6.30am. Rested 3 hours before doing bodyweight training. When I was still reading through the exercises, I thought I'll breeze through them easily. HOLY SH$@#@^*T!! When I did them, it was a totally different story! Novice plyo proved to be challenging. I was hoping for the better for Bodyweight but it felt even tougher. Really didn't expect simple exercises to be so taxing.
I guess my weakness is the Bodyweight Training. Throughout the Bodyweight training, there were frequent pauses between reps to let my muscles recover and catch a breath. I don't know whether it's good. Kelly Baggett said to perform each rep properly. It's not endurance training. Comments anyone?
Well, my legs are damn wobbly now. Can't even walk properly. Not to say aim for the rim. But I'm going to endure through the 12 weeks and grab it
Poser of the Day
VJB + Willpower = DUNK?

Re: Aeon's Journey to the Rim- VJB Journal
haha great to hear your journal.
definately dont take VJB lightly =p
yeah, its okay to get tired, and what Kelly mentioned is to not do like hundreds of reps, its not gonna get you anywhere. if you're getting tired and frequently pausing, then you know that your leg muscles arent strong enough..YET =]
good luck witht he rest of the program to come =]

Re: Aeon's Journey to the Rim- VJB Journal
My legs are sore now. I must say that it was a great workout for all the different leg muscles. I got a question. What if I don't recover fully by Thur (my next scheduled VJB session)? Do I carry on with the training or wait till they are recovered?
