im not a vj expert at all but isnt running long distances bad for ur vert?..and idunno if your doing too much work, u got skips program, 200 shots a day, and all those workouts...but since u increased ur vert then props and if it works idunno what to say other than keep doing it, but be careful and maybe decrease the amount of times you workout cuz ur legs must b tired, good luck

yeah, good luck, looks good so far.

but i would agree that long distance running will, to an extent be bad for your vert. if you wanna be able to play all game, personally i wouldnt run 2 miles, twice a week. i'd rather do something on court, say practicin layups on both hands, or some sort of basketball practice that will help you increase your endurance, while at the same time using it as sorta a kind of plyos in a way.

so you still will end up running roughly 2 miles anyway, but it all wont be just pure running =]

just my two cents.

I like the idea so im trying to think of a way to incorperate it. I only got a week and a half more til school starts and no more work though thanks guys

The legs are feeling dead and im getting scared my knees will get harmed so im going to dump AA and go with vjb not sure which one to use though. My reactive strength sucks i know cuz my vert running is about the same as standing, i'm going to take a good week and a half off though before i go into this training. The dude with the osclerosis or whatever was just flippin buggin me, better to be safe than sorry and end all hopes of playing in college i suppose. I will stick with my jump shooting and skips program but no more vert training for 1 1/2 weeks. side note: im also going to id the new kobeII's stoked to get them.

i started reading and was shocked at a certain sentence i heard 'go jogging'!!!!!! blood r u mad? ther is no easier way in the world to lose hops. no jkes. jogging is ur mortal enemy as long as u want to fly. it converts your FT msucles to ST fibres, and thy dont contract as fast and u lose ur vert. it is the anti-plyometric excerice. STAY AWY FROM JOGGING and ANY ENDURANCE WORK. take it from me. i'm new here, but i know wat i'm talkin bout. serious, jumps are 27 and 33 and i'm 5'6". do the maths and tht means i can touch the rim. trust me dont jog. if anyone wats 2 chat just tlk, i know stuff i've been researching this stuff since i was 11 (i'm 15 now). good luck with them hops boys, btw wen u jump try something, think slow motion in your head. think s-l-o-w m-o-.....and u'll be surprised, u'll float. no joke. i'm tryin 2 ge tmy pic of me winning a tipp off against a kid hu's 6'4" but it aint loading but meh, keep wrkin guys, any q's ask me [IMG] [/IMG]
