Default JumpATTACK Journal

I wasn't going to journal this but there inst allot of info on the program so i thought people might be able to find this useful.

Age:17
Height: 5'8"
Weight: 145 lbs
Reach: 7'4"

STARTING
Standing Vert: 20" ( last tested November 2008)
Running Vert: 24" ( last tested November 2008)

CURRENT
Standing Vert: 26"
Running Vert: 30"


Schedule:

Sun:Off
Mon:JumpATTACK
Tues:JumpATTACK extra upper body
Wed:Off
Thurs:JumpATTACK
Fri:JumpATTACK extra upper body
Sat:Off


JumpATTACK

Week 1 = COMPLETE
Week 2 = COMPLETE
Week 3 = COMPLETE
Week 4 = COMPLETE

Rest Week = COMPLETE 5" Increase

Week 5 = COMPLETE
Week 6 = COMPLETE
Week 7 = COMPLETE
Week 8 = COMPLETE

Rest Week =COMPLETE + 1" increase

Week 9 = COMPLETE
Week 10 = COMPLETE
Week 11 = COMPLETE
Week 12 = COMPLETE

I think ill keep watch on this, im 17 5"11 and my standing vert is only 18 inches, so im going to try and learn a thing or 2.

I did day two of JumpAttack today. went well. My legs are feeling pretty dead right about now. I'm doing my upper body workout tomorrow. After that i will be finished Week 4, and have a week of rest then i will test my vert.

Normally on day 1 in explosive sequence 1 you do squats. and then on day two during explosive sequence 5 you do power cleans. But since this is my first time weight training on a consistent basis i am doing squats two days a week because squats will increase my vert more then another exercise.

If your confused here is what it looks like NORMALLY

DAY 1
explosive sequence 1
Squats - 30 secs
squat jumps - 15 reps
quad stretch - 30 sec.

DAY 2
explosive sequence 5
Power cleans - 30 sec
Depth Jumps - 15 reps
Pretzel strech - 30 sec

But what i am doing is on DAY 2 replacing power cleans with squats. therefor doing squats 2 days a week.

Incase your wondering what each day looks like its this

DAY 1
Explosive sequence 1
Explosive sequence 2
Explosive sequence 3
Explosive sequence 4

DAY 2
Explosive sequence 4
Explosive sequence 5
Explosive sequence 6
Explosive sequence 7

on each day you do each sequence 3 times before moving on to the next sequence

WEEK 4 COMPLETE !! looking forward to the end of next week to test my vert. not sure if im going to keep doing my upper body workouts next week or not. cant wait to see how many inch's ive gained. during last week it felt like i was jumping higher.

No no no no no.... you should really do power cleans they really help. I have doe the Jump Attack program and have gained about 5 inches from it. It is an excellent explosive lift. If you need help with how to do them I can try to help u out.

btw im kinda confused about ur log. You know that you do 4 exercises each day right. Not just squats?

btwx2 with the power cleans, ur back might get sore if it is not strong enough to handle the exercise, but this lift makes ur back really strong.

ya i know i just used squats as an example. i have the actual book so i do do all the diffrent exercises lol dont worry. and yea i need help with the power cleans. i sitll think that doing squats twice a week would help prepare me for powercleans? anyways i start week 5 on monday. maybe you can help me with the power cleans.
