I think they can really win it all this year i mean they didn't quite blow out Russia but hey they still won by 20 or so.
Kobe,Dwayne,Kidd,Lebron,Melo the rest of them, man this team is sick as hell this is 'THE SQUAD'..and did you see the windmills by D wade omg i jumped right out of my sofa..
Tuesday they take on Austrailia can't wait for that game

Of course they have more talent than any other country, but they really lack defense, and they're aren't so good at a half court set. So that could be their downfall against like Argentina or China. They have no true center, so who will be able to contain China's big men?

Team USA plays very good 1-on-1 defense. 12 steals vs RUSSIA, 16 - lithuania, 16-Turkey. In the offensive end they get problems when attacking zones. They shuould work on that. If they dont take gold, USA will be humiliated - all the best players in the world cant take a gold medal. This is the right time to show all the haters ( especially greeks, who get big heads remembering last olympics) who`s the daddy! Go USA!

the other players need to learn how to copy deron williams who is incredible at attacking the zone.
as for the Defense kobe wade and boozer play pretty good defense but i have doubts about other cats like CP3 coach k is gonna stress those two problems before the olyimpics and hopefully it'll work.

they do have the most talent and they do play average defense and Team USA should be more worried about Spain not just Argentina and China
You guyz dont know what your talking about if you honestly think USA doesnt play great defense. the most points they allowed during exhibition was 84.
They played 5 games and the points they allowed were: 84, 82, 76, 68, 65.
defense is obviously not a problem right now.
They have J-Kidd doing great job on defending the point, Kobe great on defending the best scorer on the other team, Lebron who is an amazingly underrated defender playing great defense and getting alot of steals, carmelo is not the best at D but he is doing an O.K job, And Dwight blocking shots and getting rebounds. there is also Tayshaun Prince coming of the bench. What they need to work on is practicing to break a zone defense and not settle for the outside shots.
Well we'll see how well they do against Greece which should be on thursday i think..
Can't wait for that game its gonna be real good since Team USA will have to bring they're 'A' game.
