Default Training on a smaller rim...

yo ballers i'm new on here...first of all da forum is dope and seems like all here are great ballers and got lots of great training tips,

i'm from argentina and i'm 15 year old training of my shot and my hoops...my question was, cuz during summer i'm only avaible to shoot oon a smaller basketball rim where it only fits exactly one basketball ( a regular rim got place for 2 basketballs) so, shooting there will help with my shot or it's only a waste of time??

Waste of time, it will make you worse off than before.

I am no bball specialist, but find this interesting... was wondering if you would go into more detail to why this makes you worse? I just figured it wouldn't hurt, unless missing more shots would effect confidence in ones ability.... again I am just ignorant in the subject and would love to hear more! Thanks

I wouldn't advise that. I'd keep the rim the same but change the ball around. I noticed great gains in my shooting when I started training with a smaller sized ball than usual.

i think it will def. improve ur shooting stroke, as long as the rim is 10 ft cause otherwise it can screw with your shot, but shooting in a small hoop will only improve ur accuracy

Yeah i agree with dream about the $65 saved lolz, + delivery and all. If they ring is 10ft your shot will improve ALOT , like if you got good at shooting on a smaller rim a big rim would be easy.. its like the principle in ball handling, if you can dribble two balls at once, dribbling one would be a walk in the park.

Sorry about this but to whoever the fk sayd that a smaller rim will screw up ur shot plz think before posting coz your completly fkn wrong and it pissed me off because its like way wrong advice lolz.!!!!

Nah but im not saying this because im hating or some shit coz i dont know heaps of stuff too but i dont post bullshit like that lol.. smaller ring diamter screw up ur shot... haha!
