Jay Hernandez's Pro Scoring Moves DVD Review
I'm back to reviewing basketball DVDs. In this one, I'll be reviewing Jay Hernandez's Pro Scoring Moves DVD. Let's just dive right in.
Highs: The DVD provides a lot of scoring moves from the triple threat. He gives you options once you beat your man and what happens when you do not beat him i.e what you do in that case. He really focuses on ways to "create space" and get your shot off. That's what most of the DVD is about creating as much space as possible. Hernandez shows you how to create space in ways you never have thought of but have seen pros do it time and time again.
Lows: The DVD is supposed to help you to find space against tough defenders and a little bit of rotating defense, as such, Hernandez doesn't really go into the start of most of the moves. You just assume the defender is on his hip and he shows you how to get extra space. I'd like a little more intro moves than just the extra space finishes. Also, the DVD is wayyyy to similar to Dorian Lee's Explosive Finishes. I'd say there are like 3 different moves that Hernandez shows you that aren't in Dorian Lee's DVD (Granted these are the most useful of the DVD). Also, Hernandez really doesn't explain how/why you do a certain move a certain way very well. It's like see me do it 10 times, then you pick it up.
Overall: Good DVD not the Best. If you need some extra ideas for how to create that extra space from a tough defender this is your DVD. He really gives you alot of options. He also gives some tips for getting into the lane.
Anyway, message me as always if you have any questions.
