Re: do YOU want to go pro?
After I read all the posts, and I realized that the title of this thread is "Do you want to go pro?", not "Is going pro realistic"...

Yea, but most of us negative people were responding to the people saying I want to and will make it.

no thats not the reason. the reason is that yopur nba gms always get offense no defense guys from the euro leagues because all they think about is offense. None of the players who are in the nba right now were great defneders here

The main point of basketball is getting the ball into the hoop. So how is it a fact dat the euros play real basketball? Have u ever watched euro league basketball? Clearly not cause no only is it boring but the guys arent even dat good! Dnt talk about SHIT that u dont know about.

look dipshit the tournament in las vegas was between the countries in the american contnent. And i have watched way more euro basketball than you and its much more entertaning than the regular season of the nba. And i was never talking about the national team ı was talking about the nba. İts a totally differnt thing. There are good 1-on-1 defenders in the nba(but not so much) but only a few teams utilize team defense and those are generally the champions at the end.

You're most likely not going to get to 6'3. You can't just base it on your parents' height. You've already grown 3 inches since you joined here. That was your growth spurt.
You guys name examples of like 2 people from your country that might make it or have already did ( for canada, theres also jamaal magloire, but him and dalembert are like 7'0 and athletic, and steve nash is 6'3, and really fast and quick.) If only this small amount of people have made it, who basically all have natural abilities, how do you expect to? You guys can become the best shooters you want, I doubt you will even get a shot off against these nba players.

ok, first off, dont talk bout me, u dont know me. u dont know how much i have grown, i have said i grew 3 inches in a couple of months. according to growth charts and DOCTORS i am going to be about 6'3. also everyone in my family is tall on my dads side, and they are all great sportsmen, many at state or australian level. and guess what, i take after my dad. also your feet and hands grow first, i am size 13, and have the biggest hands out of anyone i know. so i am going to be big. big enough for a point guard, maybe even shooting guard. i named 2 people that could possibly make the nba, they were 2 from my local rep team. not to mention people i know like Luke Kendall who plays for Australia. you say none of us will possibly grow 6 inches? NO! coz thats impossible isnt it, none of us will go to a certain school? NO! coz thats impossible isnt it, and none of us will get a 48 inch vert? NO coz of course thats impossible too isnt it. listen, Redsoxfan trained himself to a 51 inch vert, Curtis is still in high school and he is in the 40's. so many of us are training our vert, so lots of us will come close to that mark if we keep it up. im jumping about 33 inches, and i bet you, if i keep it up then i will have a 48 inch vert by the time im 18. trust me, if i work hard enough, i believe i can do ANYTHING. stop trying to find an excuse why i cant because there are none....

Never say never I suppose, but how many of you guys are even lifting weights? I have seen plenty of posts (not necessarily saying yours a.j.ing) that demonstrate a refusal to hit the gym. Either that or just some lame excuses. Going with examples above: CurtiS hit the weights - and has done very heavy lifts I might add - and am willing to bet that Redsoxfan did too. Personally, when I was around 14 I started lifting seriously. And please don't cite Kadour as a testament to static stretching your way to a 50' running vert. That should be regarded as an exceptional case.
BTW going up inches when your vert is in the 20s/30s is a whole different league to increasing your vert when in the 40s. Training progress is not linear. If it was then people would be running the 100m in less than 9s by now.

Re: do YOU want to go pro?
Lol growth charts and doctors told you that right ajing? Well, for one, they cannot tell. It's an estimate. I guarantee you that you do not hit 6'3. I will talk about you, because I know nobody grows 3 inches in a few months, than has another huge growth spurt to grow 5 more inches. Especially when you're 14 ( I think almost 15.)
Curtis won't get to 48 anytime soon. He's made great improvements, but that's a little too much. I also don't think he's in the 40's either, but idk. For redsoxfan15, I appreciate how much he has helped people on here, but I doubt his 51 inch story, and he's never proven it to be true.
WTF are you talking about none of us will go to a certain school. I know for a fact none of you people on here go to an american nation level basketball high school. Can you read? I never said you can't go to one, I said you don't go to one.
You need to grow up. Focus on what's important, which is your school work. The people in the nba didn't do that, which is why they are dumb, but were lucky enough to make it to the pros so they don't need to be smart.
