free throws, boxing out along with vert for rebounds, one other thing i find very helpful is practice with the off hand, makes finishing easier. um other stuff...........decision making, shooting form.
btw sari can i request another Tyrus Thomas Mix now that the season is over?

Vert Training ?

I would first place WEIGHT TRAINING, because with normal weight training you would get results too. While increasing and making your muscles much more powerful as opposed to just having a great vertical jump? I'd rather have the power to finish the and 1's, having a bigger presence in the paint then having a good vertical jump. When you are weight training, you are building a strength base and throw in their some pylo's you got yourself strength and explosiveness for vertical.

I would work on some 1 on 1 moves (go to move), some post moves you never know, and finishing your drives left and right. Shooting definitely, handles.

You a point guard ain't you?

Learn to shoot the three.

Court vision.

Passing. You're a point guard; figure it out.

Explosiveness. Important for a point guard. Learn to blast past the defender for the layup.

EDIT: OK I re-read the thread and found alot of bullshit. It's up to you to decide what's critical to your game and what is optional.

i got sorta th same problem, im a guard too. i need to make the under 18's rep team, and the tryouts are in 3-4 months. they said its super hard to get in at this age ( basicly u cant unless u stand out heaps). so i gotta work my ass off till then. im doing vert training, lots of work on shooting, full body workouts and dribbling, i practice driving n stuff too. i got no1 to practice with so i need some drills to work on my game. any1 got any drills n shit 4 defence and rebounding and passing and stuff. coz im kinda in the same situation as sari. its easy to say " work on this this and this". when u dont no how to work on those areas.

Good luck. I don't want to tell you that you got to work on this, work on that, it's all up to you. WORK HARD on your weaknesses, not on every single aspect, what I mean is use your time wisely and avoid injuries due to overtraining. Don't kill yourself working out just because you got kicked out in the first round.
