I hope I didn't get that tendonitis, but what should I do now? Rest? Rest for how long??? I want to play as soon as possible.

You and me both man...I have been killing myself on the inside for the last two weeks b/c I have had to rest...and I mean rest...NO ACTIVITY!!! that means no shooting, hopping, lifting, dipping, squats, deadlifts, or bouncing of any kind...NOTHING...but I feel a lot better already...another week or two and I think I will be back in business...but it's hard, I know...I rewarded(teased) myself by getting some Jordans and staring at them everyday to remind myself to not do anything but rest...lol but I think you're good...you actually have to be motivated to rest...lol

Exactly, it's the inside of the knee killing me. Oh well, I think only rest can cure. Tell me if you recover completely bro. Good luck.

That's a bet...good luck to ya...you will probably recover before me...since you caught it when it was mild...if you just chill out and make sure to get lots of sleep, you will probably be back way before me...lol

tendonitis is an overuse injury.
tennis elbow is elbow tendonitis and comes from overuse of the joint.
if you don't rest it you will screw it up. as for how long, it depends. could take days if you hae caught it early enough but not likely. for a better idea visit a doctor. i won't say because i can't be sure but most cases i know about through my coaching and playing are around 4 - 6 weeks out

Btw, after you recover and head back to training, are you going to keep shooting every morning and doing the same amount of workout? I don't want to overuse my knees again so I'm thinking maybe I would reduce my time balling instead of cutting down the sets of my workout.

Naw, I will probably reduce the shooting to MWF, and step down from the Intermediate balanced to Intermediate strength focused, with Intermediate plyos...same day, but spaced out better, that way I still get two days of rest inbetween each workout...I only play really hard(competitive) one day a week, so that's not the problem. I will just have to cut down on how much I actually do on my workout days...it will look like this

Monday-light shoot-around
Tuesday-Int. plyo in A.M.---Int. Strength focused in P.M.
Wednesday-light shoot-around
Thursday-light shoot-around
Friday-Int. plyo in A.M.---Int. Strength focused in P.M.
Saturday-off-day
Sunday-play ball competitively for 2 1/2 hours

I would almost have the exact same schedule, but instead of Int.Strength in the afternoon I got Novice Weights with customized exercises.

Then I would say that you got it all figured out already...I woke up this morning and my legs feel amazing...I have been massaging my legs as well as icing and taking 2 ibuprofen before I go to sleep at night...making a world of difference...I actually jumped a couple of times(not max) just to see how it felt and there was no pain...still gonna chill for a couple weeks though...it may not work for everybody, but it worked for me...

Wow, glad to hear that, mine is still stiff and mildly painful, I don't have ibuprofen so I take glucosamine/MSM, don't know if it works.
