Default Vert goal, resonable?

Hello, Im doin VJB but i have been sick and injured so havnt realy got started so im going to start from the beggining with phase1 begginers plyos (and MAYBE bodyweight), anyway, IF i continue this workout and eat healthy etc could i gain 10 inches in a year? my vert now is 28 inches but ive never trained my vert and i find the VJB plyos intense and it feels in my muscles the next day so i think i will gain a bit since ive never trained before?

Im 5'9 i think (179 cm) and My bodyfat % is 11-12 (will work on it) and im pretty overall strong. hopefully i will grow a bit too but idk :P

thanks, and i know gain is different from man to man but anyway is it possible?

BTW when people say their vert is 28' it really should be their standing vertical jump. In your signature you say it is maybe 20'. To me that indicates low levels of voluntary strength but decent reactive ability. Hence, plyos should not give you much extra benefit. If you do gain, it will be due to increase strength levels as a result on your body maturing. I would say do bodyweight strength program (if you are one of those not willing or apparently able to use weights) and play your sport. Get that leg and core strength up. But 10' in a year? Maybe if you had access to weights or if your testosterone levels increase significantly.

Ok, but i feel like im lacking explosiveness (wich i will get by doing plyos?) and not core strength, i dont want to use weights yet so ill do the bodyweight and plyos at the same time i guess. By the way, is it true that if i go up early and walk fast for like 40 minutes before breakfast i will loose more fat than if i run in 20 minutes ? want to loose some weight :P thanks

You are lacking strength, hence you are not explosive. Plyos help you display your strength quicker basically by training your ability to absorb force and to counter-act. However, general limit strength still remains the foundation. Bodyweight training is restricted in its ability to develop limit strength.

As for the weight loss ideas, they aren't really true. If you want to lose flab, proper strength training and diet will take care of that.

Yes it is reasonable, I have increased my vertical by about 2 inches in 2 weeks using the vjb and I know people who have gained 10 inches in less than 4 months.
