Unhappy Normal? training help needed, lost vert.

Hi, a couple of weeks ago i stopped doing air alert since it got rough on my knees and people said it wasnt that good. I did AA2 to week 3.

The thing is, i didnt get any gains and i thought that i should rest for a week or two (still practising bball three times a week but no vert training). Well i rested for two weeks now and before starting AA i could touch the rim now my vert is 3-4 inches lower!? I felt explosive and all that when i jumped and thought wtf is this :P

could those exercises actually have made my vert worse ?

Anyway im starting VJB bodyweight and plyos novice but should i rest even more before i start? since I just lost some vert it seems

I dont know much bout training so sorry if you pro's get these questions all the time

It is difficult to say without knowing exactly how much workload you were doing before your 'rest' period. Also, how much balling are you doing 3 times a week during your 'rest' period. To be honest, I suspect you overloaded and have not had sufficient rest. But without detailed info it is hard to tell.

Um I didnt feel much stress in my legs just in my knees so the training wasnt very hard. When I practise its 1.5 hrs not to intense, no body training at all.

I'll skip practise next week and see how it goes ^^

Theres a good chance you may be overtrained. Or becuase air alert is terrible for your knees. Its probably the first one.

Don't even jump to see if you are recovering. Proper rest for 1 week.
