so squat is better but it really hurt my shoulder when high wieght i'll try it

i mean the bones in the shoulder area when carrying the bar over ypur shoulder

Rest the bar lower on your traps. You are heavier than me I believe and have more bone mass. You should be fine if I am. That said, it isn't meant to be comfortable.

you rest the bar on your traps, not on your shoulders lol that would hurt like hell. pinch you back together and rest on the top muscles. also deadlifts will strengthen your lower back more than anything

and squats are prolly the best thing to do for vertical. i'm 5'10, 160 lbs, haven't done plyos in 4 years, started squatting around 6 months ago and i have a standing 24 inch vert thanks to squats.
