Default Recovery from REAL Overtraining

hey all, it's me again. i'm still on holidays atm, will be back in a week.

i just realised after stopping training(coz i'm on holidays) that my body really IS overtrained (as in real overtraining not just fatigue from 1 workout). i'm getting about a good 8-9hours+ of rest each night, and was wondering what are your best tips on recovering when you're this far into overtraining?

i cant really get a hold of any protein here however i can get a hold of some creatine pills, though i dont know if that'll help. i come back next monday(6 days time from where i am) at about 3pm and have a basketball game straight away at about 5 or 6pm so im hoping to be recovered by then so i can help give my team a good start to the season(though i havnt balled for 3 weeks by then =p)

anyway, during my holidays im walking a good 10-15km+ per day since im in asian region and main transport is by foot. so im hoping for any tips that would really help me recover before i get back. my legs are totally dead at the moment =p

anyway, thanks.

you really dont need protien powder or any of these overhyped supplements.its all bs,im telling u this and im sticking wif my theory until someone with actual credibility can back it up 2 prove me wrong.
a good diet is all u need to cover all the things these so called 'super'or w/e supplements tell u they have.
4 protein,u really need 2 eat a lot of meats, poultry and fish.A good serving of one of these(~one meal)would have about 30+grams of protein.
a few supplements may help, like krill oil for example.
im not sure about creatine powder or wot not,so i cant giv an opinion on that.
if u stretch a lot before and after bed and at regular times of the day,it will help a lot

looking forward to seein u bak at school chris

You need to eat a healthy diet, get some protein in you, (eggs, chicken, fish) and drink lots of water. You should probably stretch twice a day. Just go through a normal stretch routine. Most important, REST.

All I can think of is rest and stretch, maybe soak your legs in a contrast bath would help (cold water then hot then cold).
