Question Question!!Experts Only.. VJB

Yeah im startin AAU season like in a week.. and Ive had for bout 2months Vert Bible but have not hardly done any excersices, Im on a toning workout schedule so i do squats, deadlifts, curls, shoulder presses, calf raises etc 3times a week.... should i stop lifting and switch to Vert bible.. or continue to use my workout and wait till the summer to start VJB..

I have ok Knees they can get sore from time to time and i an in question about injuring my knees using vjb plus playing 15 plus games still in the skool year durin aau...

ARE there any workouts i can do that do not focus on the bending and pressure on the knees that can still be effective b/c air alert is trash and one of the main reasons i have to take a step back from goin hard with the vert workouts b/c i used it and i felt bad after i did

Default Re: Question!!Experts Only.. VJB

doesent sound to bad what your doing atm, if your bbal season starts in a week and it involves a large volume of training/games during the week (4-5 times) then i would suggest just a maintenance session, if that isnt the case go ahead with your program,

Btw 1 thing i notice is that your running vert is only 2 inches above your standing vert, this suggests your reactive ability and plyometric efficiency is quite low and needs some good work. a 26 inch standing vert is pretty good.

however i would wait until after to do VJB considering your more then likeley going to be overtraining, Im currently doing VJB in season but i have ways to manage wether im overtraining or not and pay attention to that sort of stuff.
