good work, but stretching before jumping doesnt increase your vert unless you are doing a kneeling hip flexor stretch

not true, a proper dynamic warm up can add up to like 3-5 inches, provided you know what your doing, it gets all your muscles ready to fire properly. however if you were refering to static then your right.

lol thats what i meant, coz i heard stretching can decrease your vert, but isnt static stretching like normal stretching, where u hold the stretch for lyk 15 seconds?
u increased your vert to 17 inches, i increased mine to 32

there is no "normal" stretching all 4 are done almost equally as much, its just that when people refer to stretching, in general people automatically refer to static stretching, coz there not experienced with the others and static is most common.

The other types of stretching are PNF, Dynaimic and ballistic. When we talk about vert/running, ballistic and dynamic is most important as it allows the joints to move in a larger range of motion whilst in a moving state.

Static= motionless like u said,
dynamic= moving (leg swings, or even squats)
Ballistic= Bouncing
PNF= proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (isometric contractions) usually you have a partner help you with this
