wow, i've always wanted to see a girl under like 7' dunk. lol.

and as for jump roping, that wont really do much, that just isolates your calves =X

unless you can grab a copy of vjb yourself, make a 100 USEFUL posts on this forum(no spam, or little 'yes it does' replies) and pm me, or any other mod/member who has it in this forum and we'll gladly send it to you.

Need to know some stats (even though you are a girl I won't treat you any differently ) i.e.

Bodyweight
Bodyfat %
Lifting experience (including familiar exercises)
Current vertical (standing, running)

im sorry but being a girl sets you back...a lot..

first off you're 5'8" which means you'll need around 40 inches to dunk. now getting to 40 inches means you'll need a really good strength base = squatting more than 2x your bodyweight. you'll also need to be extremely explosive = tons of sprinting and plyometrics and olympic lifts.

second, you won't be able to recover as quickly as a male would simply because of the lack of testosterone. testosterone helps build muscle and males are able to recover much more quickly than a female would from weight training.

if i were you, i'd try to get in touch with an olympic lifting coach. if you REALLY want to dunk, it's not going to be a walk in the park you're going to have to work your ass off and it might take years.
