Default VJB's Bodyweight or Beginner's Plyometrics

Which one should I do? I'm new to training and I want to improve my speed. Most people on this forum recommended bodyweight but when I surf the net, many websites actually provide plyometrics program.
I'm confused right now. By the way, will bodyweight training affect my growth. I 'm guessing that it won't since I'm using only bodyweight, not using weights in the gym.
By the way I don't really have lots of power in my legs. I'm pretty weak.

if you really want to improve your strength in your legs, then do the strength program otherwise combine both to get a better result
