Default Simple workouts to guarantee a gain in vert.

This aint a huge gain in vert. but it brought me from barely touchin the rim to dunking two handed 180.
1. Take weights and put them on your shoulders and do calf raises, once every two nights. I do 50, strectch, then do another 50.
2.Sit-Ups and other stomach muscle workouts. Alot of ppl dont know this but stomach muscles play a pretty key role in vertical jump.
3.At practices etc. always jump ur highest. Try touching the rim lots, it helps.

are u gona pay me if i dont gainany vert

50 reps thats ridiculous. training endurance, rather explosiveness

stomach? a pretty key role?? they do play a role, but ur better off training others

the last one maybe the most reasonable.... but wont gaurantee

who are u? a personal trainer?

Those are all thinks that can help. They are better then doing nothing. But there are a lot of things that can help you improve but aren't the best way to improve and some of that stuff falls in that category. Calves are strong and you should do calve raises with weight. But 50 reps is to high for optimal training. Sit ups work the hip flexor more then the abs (which is not always a bad thing).

u have to do lots with calve raises unless ur using alot of weight, they arent a plyometric exercise or nofin. on the way down i go slow and then explode o the way up. when ur doin calve raises bring ur toes together so ur heels are pointed out and ur heels touching and ur feet apart as well as doing them normally so u work the inner and outer calves.

so if i do this workout for 4 weeks you think i would gain 1-2 inches??? or do u mean minimal like 0.5-1 inch??

How about Squat with your ass to the grass and Deadlift with a proper form.

yeah squats and deadlifts are much better but who sed calve raises were bad in the first place?

they arent bad,its just that ther only like what 15-20% of ure vj,along with ure upperbody strength and all of those factors,so although ther not obsolete,every1 knows it would be better to train the posterior chain.
