I personally feel for training, trainers are the best... Don't get the free's because their isn't enough shock absorbtion with those but otherwise theirs trainers for turf if your doing it on that and in eastbay they have the kobe trainers for like 80 bucks right now which is ideal for training. Also nike super bad trainers last i checked i think on eastbay were 59.99. trainers>basketball>running

Basketball shoes are a must for games, they have ankle protection - but trainers are the best for training, runners are ok for all around but I'd say basketball shoes are better. If you can find light basketball shoes - those would probably be the best.
