Default VjB beginner Plyos help!

aiite so today i decided to start the biggener plyos and bodyweight, i got up and started doing the program, did the ankle jumps, 4 star drill, wit straint on my muscle, then went onto the lunges did one set no problem , and on the 2nd set i did right leg then when i went onto my left leg and it started really hurting my hamstring like sharp pain and i cudnt do nemore coz of the pain i can even do the lunge position it hurts like shit can any1 help please!


EDIT: also is it okay to do the plyos and bodyweight bare foot inside or sumtin or shud i stick to doin it wif shoes on grass ?i got carpet inside and it easier for me coz its so hot atm lol.

You probably just have bad mobility/dynamic flexibility and a poor range of motion.

I remember some of these excercises were hard for me back in the day to (especially the 4 star drill) there tiring as hell for the legs

Btw dont know whether you know this but plyometrics are best performed like in the afternoon/night.

Try find a foam roller and tennis ball and massage the area that hurts or get some heat cream. I currently have a muscle strain in my hip flexor from my fall and yeh i agree it a bitch.

oo alrite thanks man, so i shud do bodyweight first then do plyos in the aftertoon next time u think? cool that u from syd im from there 2

nice where bouts? im at west pennant hills atm, moved from north ryde. and yeh that sounds like a good idea, that way u got rest in between them.

Edit:my leg gettin better maybe ill finish the rest of plyos today, and skip the bodyweight till next time or do it tomorow or sumshit eh

heard of it? yeh man lol, i got a phillo friend who lives there, hes an awesome bballer. I also know burwood pretty well coz me n some mates got chased down by like 15-20 fobs randomly at that massive park near the station

yeh begginer plyo's is damn hard i know,i did it in the blazing heat last summer but u just gotta push through it

but after phase 1 its pretty easy

i made the mistake of doing it on unlevel paving instead of a good surface like turf or grass

stretch ya hamstring a lot,as much as u can,mainly in the morning when u get up n beofre bed

make sure u stretch well AFTER plyo's

aiite thanks i skipped bodyweight that day and did it yes2day coz my muscles were sore but didnt like really hurt , but after i did bodyweight i culdnt finish the squats lol it was so fukn painnful so i only did like 2 sets of 50 insteada 2 sets of 100 =(
