Default palming the ball?

do you really need a big hand to palm the ball? or is there something i can do to help grip the ball.

no you can use the "captain crush" grippers just google it use it three times a week

Are you sure that will work even if you have small hands? I googled and there were very few links for "captain crush" grippers. Can you post a more specific site? This info although often forgotten will still prove useful.

Based on what I've googled though, Captains of Crush, pertain to gripping exercises that will help you close a "gripper" does that translate to gripping a basketball? I don't see the connection so far.

yes closing a gripper is the best exercise...it translates completely to palming because it strengthens the hands muscles that you use when you palm the ball
