It's not that big of a deal if your not that strong to begin with. That means that you can probably see good increases in strength very fast. Thats why you start lifting; to get stronger. If you want to improve your performance then you can't always worry about showing off with the weights.

yeah man i agree totally, i remember my freshmen year of high school and college how subconscious i was about lifting in front of those guys. in both situations i was just a little guy steppin in with grown men and it was nerve racking. but any real player knows it ain't about how much you lift in reality. and vrt4u is right you will see large gains in a short time....when i started i moved my bench press up by like 65 lbs in a matter of a couple weeks, now im not sayin that happens with everyone but, and i became addicted to the lifting and plyos and conditioning and that made me even better
