Default How do they measure vert at NBA pre-draft camp?

Do they get a pivot step to jump, or is it just bend your knees and jump as high as you can.

i think its a pivot step because there is no way tyrus thomas has a standing 44" vert or whatever it said... running maybe, not standing

It said his was 34 no step, 39 max vert. But ya i guess i didnt see the section where it said "max Vert". That must mean like with a run-up.

ha ya i just realized that. But jesus, notice that farmars no-step vert is 34 and his running is 42. Thats pretty impressive. If his arms wernt so short he'd be doing some impressive dunks.

Farmar also benched 185 like 11 times. If he had better fundamentals he could be a good player.

first they do measure your standing reach with your shoes on, cuz ur not gonna be playin bball without em' on right? And what you do is you stand sideways then u plant your left foot (if you want i think u can change it) and then you squat and jump.
