Default Re: Vertical jump increase from WBV training

guys... lets put this to thought here... 14% = not much at all...

for a 2" gain, 14% = ~14" vertical...
for a 6" gain, 14% = ~43" vertical... (do you really think a machine will increase your vert 6 more inches when ur at 43" already?)

i know some of you have peaked and 2-6" increase sounds great, but if you have really peaked... ur prob too old like me to really want to spend thousands of dollars just to increase ur jumpin ability 6"... not worth it. keep training the hard way; lifting, olys, and plyos... u'll great all the results you need.

ps.. great find though.

WBV is the real deal. It has a ton of applications from increasing strength to increasing bone mineral density in elderly women with osteoporosis. I recently wrote my thesis paper for my Master's program, which focused a great deal on WBV. If anyone has any specific questions regarding how it works, and how it is specifically used, I will be glad to answer any questions.

btw, don't get me wrong but i'm saying it doesn't work... just not worth the $ unless ur gym has one and you can train on it.

I totally agree with Lazarus. Unless your gym already has one, it probably isn't cost-effective to buy one for home use.

i heard bout these on the radio but for weight loss. i asked my dad if he used them and he sed no, they just increase strength but u wont build muscle from em, he thinks is better to do an actual workout.
