I'm 6'2, 185lbs, can hang on 10ft rim with 2 hands. HELP!
Wassup Everyone,
I am a new poster on this forum, but have been reading it for about 6 months. I am trying to gain a solid 3-6 inches to my vertical. I can jump and hang on a 10ft rim with ease(20 times in a row if needed) with two hands.
My problem is that if I try to dunk with a ball in my hands, I miss every time. If throw it off the backboard or someone throws me an alley, I'll dunk it 1 out of 10 times.
I am not sure what my problem is. Either I don't know how to dunk, jump, etc properly... or I just need a few more inches. I have tried AA3 and after 2 weeks, my knees and shins really hurt; so I stopped. That was about 2 months ago.
I have access to a full gym, swimming pool, jumpsoles(that i've had for 3 years but not once used), ankle weights, etc. What do you guys suggest I do to be a more consistent jumper? What exercise or program can give me a good 3 inches, fast as possible?
If you decide to post and help me out, please be someone with real experience, and not telling me what you heard or read somewhere else. Thanks.

Back when I started AA3, I had a 24 inch vertical, but after 2 weeks of AA3 I am at at 25-26 inch vert. I am not sure what GMV is. Where can I get VJB? Thanks.

It is something I got my hands on, so I tried it? I don't really understand the intent or purpose of your question. Is trying AA3 a sin?

if your vertical is about 25 inches then hit the weights
do some squats, deadlifts, lunges etc.
you'll probably gain that 3 inches easily
(and eventually use the ankle weights/jumpsoles for the super exercise or whatever)

Ill give it a try starting tomorrow. Should I life heavy and do 8 reps each set or lift fair and do 15 reps?

well i'm not the expert on this forum so i think you should ask people like redsoxfan but i think you should lift about 80 % max or so. And i think you should do some explosive lifts with like maybe 40% or less max

if you want good strength gains do novice weights starting at 60% for phase one, 70% phase 2, and so on adding 10%
thats what i did and i doubled my squat and deadlift and gained bwt a inch
